We recently offered a lovely online screening event in partnership with Lizzi Larbalestier to raise funds for the amazing work of the British Diver’s Marine Life Rescue @bdmler_uk They are the only charity covering England, Wales and Scotland totally dedicated to the rescue of marine life such as whales, dolphins, porpoises and seals. We managed to raise £244 which will help with rescues, equipment and training of volunteers. If you would like to further support the work they do, check out this beautiful Art Auction
Tonight we had a lovely opportunity to meet up again with the Adventure Uncovered team. We were invited to do an interview with fellow film maker Danielle Sellwood – creator of “Engage Your Senses” about Georgia Pilkington who is the 3 time British Para Climbing Champion in the Hearing Impaired Category (She also successfully climbed the Matterhorn -no easy feat). We bonded over our experiences as female filmmakers as well as our shared passion for Adventure and story telling. Watch our interviews, snippets from both of our films as well as a Q & A afterwards, hosted by another very talented filmmaker – Ellie Mackay (starts 3mins in).
We recently had the opportunity to chat with Travel Blog Writer Julia, of ‘Charlie on the Move’. She had watched our film and been inspired by the story we told. She got in touch with us to find out more about the making of Undercurrents. This is the beginning of her article and you can read the rest on the link below:
” The surf movie Undercurrents involves many aspects of surfing and everybody sees something different in it. For Charlie, the main take-away is the meditative effect of surfing that the movie portrays in a beautiful way. When the idea for the movie was born in 2012, “mindfulness” wasn’t the buzzword it is today but surfing always had this aspect to it. Undercurrents talks a lot about the associated flow – the being really present in the moment….You can check out the rest of our interview, here: https://charlieonthemove.com/en/surfing/movies/undercurrents/
